Understanding the cost of your care
You deserve to have clear information about the expected cost of your care.
A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of what you can expect to pay for services when you are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you are uninsured or not using insurance, federal law gives you the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your mental health services. This estimate helps you understand anticipated fees before services begin.
Clients may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time—before scheduling or at any point during treatment. You can request an estimate by contacting Riding the Rainbow LLC at: contact@resilientrainbowtherapy.com. Simply let us know you would like a Good Faith Estimate for upcoming services.
Receiving Your Estimate
Once you request a Good Faith Estimate:
-
You will receive it in writing within 3 business days.
-
If you schedule an appointment at least 3 business days in advance, you will receive the estimate within 1 business day of scheduling.
-
If you schedule 10 or more business days in advance, you will receive the estimate within 3 business days of scheduling.
Your estimate will include expected charges for services you are likely to receive, including session fees and any related costs.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Expected
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above the Good Faith Estimate for the same services, you have the right to dispute the charges through the federal Patient‑Provider Dispute Resolution process.
